A little Red Dawn trivia. The movie was not filmed in Colorado. It was filmed in the mountains outside of Las Vegas New Mexico. I’ve hiked these mountains and found the overlook where the kids were hiding under the rock ledge when the Russian soldiers were taking tourist photos. That’s is a place called Hermit’s peak.
